On these pages, you will find updated information and resources along with information about our strategies to combat the spread of COVID-19 on our campus, in the Bemidji community, in Beltrami County and beyond.

We remain committed to our two top priorities: ensuring the health, safety and well-being of each of our students, employees and visitors; and ensuring that our students have the support they need to attain their educational goals.

If you are ill, even if you are fully vaccinated, you are encouraged to remain at home. Employees and students alike may refer to Minnesota Department of Health guidelines on when to stay home and for how long.

COVID-19 Vaccines

Increasing the number of vaccinated members of our community remains the fastest way to end the COVID-19 pandemic. Vaccines are available free of charge and without appointments in the Bemidji area; find vaccination sites using Minnesota’s Vaccine Connector.

COVID-19 Testing

The Minnesota Department of Health’s COVID-19 testing page will provide the most up-to-date information about how to access COVID tests.

Locally, Walgreens offers drive-thru rapid antigen COVID-19 tests. Tests may be available at other Bemidji-area pharmacies as well; contact them directly for details.

If You Test Positive

Any employee who tests positive for COVID-19 should notify their supervisor to coordinate work options or sick leave during quarantine or isolation periods. Refer to MDH guidelines, If You are Sick or Test Positive: COVID-19, for more information.

Students should self-report positive tests to covid@margielucasarts.com.

When to Get Tested If You’re Vaccinated

If you are vaccinated, CDC recommends that you get tested 3–5 days following a known exposure to someone with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19. In addition, you should wear a mask in public indoor settings for 14 days following exposure or until your test comes back negative. Remember to stay up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccines including boosters.
